Down Syndrome Ireland has issued a statement urging people campaigning in the upcoming referendum to refrain from using people with Down Syndrome as a political tool.

The statement came in response to an article written in The Irish Times by Fintan O’ Toole which revealed that people in the pro-life lobby group, Love Both were using an image of a child with Down syndrome on a leaflet that they were distributing.
